Quantifiers are words that help us talk about quantity and degree. In English, we use words like "some," "many," and "a little." In Spanish, we have similar words:


🔍 How to Use Quantifiers in Spanish
Quantifiers for Quantity:
Mucho / Mucha / Muchos / Muchas (a lot, much, many)
Mucho (singular, masculine): “Tengo mucho trabajo.” (I have a lot of work.)
Mucha (singular, feminine): “Ella tiene mucha comida.” (She has a lot of food.)
Muchos (plural, masculine): “Hay muchos libros.” (There are many books.)
Muchas (plural, feminine): “Hay muchas personas.” (There are many people.)
Poco / Poca / Pocos / Pocas (few, little, not much)
Poco (singular, masculine): “Tengo poco dinero.” (I have little money.)
Poca (singular, feminine): “Hay poca leche.” (There’s little milk.)
Pocos (plural, masculine): “Conozco a pocos estudiantes.” (I know a few students.)
Pocas (plural, feminine): “Hay pocas sillas.” (There are few chairs.)
Algunos / Algunas (some, a few)
Algunos (plural, masculine): “Algunos amigos están aquí.” (Some friends are here.)
Algunas (plural, feminine): “Algunas personas no vinieron.” (Some people didn’t come.)
Ningún / Ninguna (none, no)
Ningún (singular, masculine): “No tengo ningún problema.” (I don’t have any problem.)
Ninguna (singular, feminine): “No tengo ninguna idea.” (I have no idea.)
Todo / Toda / Todos / Todas (all, everything, every)
Todo (singular, masculine): “Lo sé todo.” (I know everything.)
Toda (singular, feminine): “Toda la comida está lista.” (All the food is ready.)
Todos (plural, masculine): “Todos los estudiantes aprobaron.” (All the students passed.)
Todas (plural, feminine): “Todas las puertas están cerradas.” (All the doors are closed.)
Vario / Varia / Varios / Varias (several, various)
Vario (singular, masculine): “Tengo varios libros.” (I have several books.)
Varia (singular, feminine): “Ella tiene varias opciones.” (She has several options.)
Varios (plural, masculine): “Varios niños están jugando.” (Several children are playing.)
Varias (plural, feminine): “Varias personas se quejaron.” (Several people complained.)
Quantifiers for Degree:
Muy (very)
“Estoy muy cansado.” (I’m very tired.)
Bastante (enough, quite)
“Es bastante fácil.” (It’s quite easy.)
Demasiado / Demasiada (too much, too many)
Demasiado (masculine): “Hace demasiado calor.” (It’s too hot.)
Demasiada (feminine): “Comí demasiada comida.” (I ate too much food.)
Más (more)
“Quiero más agua.” (I want more water.)
Menos (less)
